A message from Old Windsor about the EA flood warning
colour scheme.
Hi,
Is it just me or do I feel it a bit strange that the EA use nonsensical
colours for their flood warning signs with Blue being All Clear and three
different Red levels to ensure you cannot check the signs quickly like you
could with the old traffic light colour scheme (I used to be able to check
just by driving past a sign) and yet on their own site
http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/31618.aspx they
see fit to show the flood state in different parts of the country in the old
traffic light colours ?
Is it not incredible that they ignored all the protests about the new
colours and yet have seen fit to revert back to them on their own site ?
Another annoying thing is that they keep changing the URL address of the
Flood Warnings page so it is a pain in the butt to keep finding. This is the
third different page I have linked the OWPC site to since September. It is
almost like they don't like people finding out this information !
No wonder nobody has confidence in them.
