Ewan.
It is surprising to see Mr Grey's nomination for Mayor especially with regard to his record on community flooding issues.

After serving two years on the Flood Risk Action Group following the 2003 floods and seeing all the professional evidence and the Environment Agency's admission of Jubilee River mis-operation and misinformation for which they apologised, Mr Grey then stated on the E.A. film that the flood was "An act of God".

The flooding this year in Old Windsor was stated By Mr Grey as being a" simple matter", followed by speaking for the defeat of Cllr Beer,s motion to form a community Flood Forum, where issues of local flooding could be highlighted and resolved.

Following from this Mr Grey has stated his refusal to communicate with ThamesAwash and Community Support Group South, both being within the then FRAG process and having a substantial support base.

Unfortunately Mr Grey has demonstrated a total disregard for flooding issues and for those affected throughout the communities of Wraysbury, Old Windsor, and Ham Island. It is therefore surprising that with the unpopularity engendered on this issue he is intending to take up a post which is a community honour.
Regards Ian.
